The first batch of results from my coffee can camera. These were taken about a month ago on Lake Martin. Experimented with 14-20 second exposures. As you can see, this was a complete failure. I either have a light leak somewhere or the sunlight is bouncing off the sharp metal edges around the shutter opening. It is back to the drawing board for the coffee cam.
Meanwhile, I have converted my old Conley Model VII into a pinhole device while I keep an eye out for a new lens. Through the miracle of Ebay, I bought an assorted set of vintage film holders – five of which actually fit the Conley. Go figure. Everything – mechanically, at least – is working better than I had imagined. Its first outing was this past Saturday, and I am holding out hope that these new photographs (taken around Five Points South and Downtown Birmingham) will turn out halfway recognizable.

These are like the world’s trippiest Rorschach (?) tests. They make my teeth hurt and fill my mind up with unhealthy thoughts. Keep ‘em coming.
