The time has come to begin planning our yearly travel adventure. The tradition began a year and a half ago with our honeymoon, when we motored around Austria and Germany for ten days. Last year we remained stateside and explored Napa Valley and San Francisco for a week. Now I think it has all but been decided that, as a celebration of both our anniversary and the end of tax season, we will make this an annual journey to someplace new. As I am chronically indecisive, the most difficult part of the whole process has become the act of actually selecting a destination.
So, I direct you to the upper left sidebar of my homepage. There you will find a survey with which you, dear reader, can cast your – yes YOUR – vote for our next travel destination. The seven locations listed there are the ones that seem to be provoking the most conversation around our figurative dinner table, and they represent some personal favorites from each of us as well as some “compromise” picks that we came up with together.
If you have any thoughts on any or all of these sites, or if you would like to suggest an unlisted locale, please feel free to leave a comment by clicking the “slap me” link at the end of this post. Your feedback is appreciated and will absolutely be factored into our ultimate decision. Google the choices. Check out some photographs. Peruse the official tourism sites or check out WikiTravel for more information. And remember: at the end of April 2009, this site will become a travel blog chronicling our trip!
Thanks for your participation. Now send us somewhere interesting, relaxing and fun!
